THOUGHTS ON... Daily Practice
Updated: 4 days ago

Practice is not measured in minutes. It is measured in presence.
"The most precious gift we have to offer is our presence" Thich Nhat Hanh
Before we can offer the gift of our presence to others, we offer it to ourselves. This is what daily practice is. One minute, five minutes, an hour. What matters is that you show up, and in showing up, you remember the divine within you and you connect.
STRIKE A MATCH
Light a match and watch it burn. Notice the flame: how it flickers, how it glows, how it gives itself fully to this moment. That light is not separate from you. It mirrors the light that radiates from within you. For as long as the flame last, simply remember. That is the light that radiates from you. Carry that light into your day. Allow it to radiate to all those you come in contact with.
DROP INTO BREATH
Sit. Feel yourself settle in. Allow the inhale and the exhale to guide you into this settling in. Be right where you are in the moment...present. Body, mind and heart come into alignment through each breath, you are arriving in this moment.
Inhale, and pause at the top.
Exhale, and pause at the bottom.
In the stillness between, feel the quiet miracle of this moment: a body that breathes, a mind that observes, a soul that knows. All of it is working together. All of it is a gift.
This is a way to practice gratitude: to embody it in the stillness, and the breath, and in the surrender to the moment, offering your full presence to yourself.
REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE
You are light...
Your are infinite love...
RADIATE
You rise. You step into your day, and the light and love go with you, into every conversation, every glance, everyone you come in contact with.
When we practice connecting with this divine essence with in ourselves, we activate the energy, and carry it with us everywhere we go.
PRACTICE...
Begin with one match. One breath. One minute.
It will change your life!
SO MUCH LOVE!
